Maps
Every mission in the Havoc pool except Spillway, which plays differently enough to need its own guide. Each route is drawn from the mission's main path in the level data, the same line the director measures your progress along.
Each map page also has the walkable floor plan, the event spawners and the objectives, all captured in game, plus computed hold spots for the scripted fights and tips collected from players.

Positioning tips that apply to every map
Collected from players. Each tip links its source and says how many sources agree.
- When a boss spawns, retreat and stop making map progress until it is dead, because Havoc boss spawns stack on progression triggers. “When a boss spawns, no matter how weak, simply retreat. Do not make any more map progress than needed - take care of the current threat while it’s alone and only then continue working your way down the map.” Also: Daemonhost rituals tick slowly while you stay away and speed up a lot as you get close, so kill the current boss first, then go to the ritual together. The exception is a ritual that ticks fast from the start. single source - Gameslantern guide by jessen, “How to minimise unfair spawns in Havoc”
- The same rule comes from a Havoc 30+ commentary video: “general rule of thumb with any type of Havoc match is when a boss spawns, always drop back.” (transcript, 3:46). multiple sources agree (with the Gameslantern guide above) - Kenndrik, “Havoc Mission Map Guide (Dark Communion)”, YouTube
- Rescue (respawn) point manipulation: “Where a person spawns is determined by the location of the party member furtherest along the map at the time of spawning. Therefore you can manipulate the spawn location … by retreating past a certain point of the map before the countdown finishes.” single source - u/Sendnudec00kies, “Havoc 40 - share your tips”
- Kite bosses back into cleared space instead of fighting them in a fresh hallway: “Kiting a boss back to a cleared area instead or trying to face tank it in a hallway full of flamers is a better play.” single source - u/Murder_Bird_
- Steam player Ravs’ Havoc map tier list: hardest are Silo Cluster (“hardest starting area and final event”), Consignment Yard (“showers area is notoriously difficult to progress”), Chasm Logistratum (“rail tracks hallway at the end is a run ender”), Gloriana, Excise Vault. Easiest are Hab Dreyko, Relay Station TRS, Smelter Complex, Sycorax. single source (one opinion) - Steam discussion “Hardest Maps?”
