Ogryn, Bully Club and taunt
Not the damage dealer. The Ogryn takes a huge amount of punishment, and his taunt takes the pressure off the rest of the team.
Job
The Ogryn does not do a lot of damage, and that is fine. He is there to take punishment and to taunt, and the taunt is incredibly good at taking pressure off the team.
Why the taunt matters so much
Each player has a ring of melee slots: nine for normal enemies, eight for elites, five for ogryns and monsters. Enemies also weigh who to attack by distance, threat and who they were already hitting.

Enemies that were filling the rings around the Psyker or a Veteran mid-reload turn to the Ogryn instead, so the players who kill things get room to do it. That is also how a downed or disabled teammate gets picked up: taunt the ring off them first.
What the team should expect
- The Ogryn soaks, the others kill. Do not leave him holding a horde alone and expect it to die. Flame and plasma do the killing while he keeps the attention.
- Stay in coherency with him. Coherency is 8 m. A Bully Club Ogryn who wanders off is a lone player, and the director sends hounds at lone players.
